05/15/24 09:57 Reason animal needs rescue: Stressed and anxious in shelter, no improvement in behavior. Mental health declining. Type: Behavior Date animal needs rescue by: ASAP, please Impound type: Stray Off stray hold: Yes Additional notes: Neutered male pointer has been in shelter since March. Behavior and kennel stress continues to decline. Behavior notes (05/09): In kennel, backing away, tail tucked. Had to toss leash over head, once leashed he will start to bite the leash, fall to the ground, and yelps. Once i open the door all the way he walks out fine but does not like when you pull the leash and will turn his head quickly and yelp, sit or fall to the ground. In the yard he is tail tucked, eyes are not dialted, tense body posture. He comes up to handler but flinches at any attempt to pet. When picking up the leash at one point he turned and snapped at the leash and continued to yelp. Returned to kennel and kept leash on him due to him snapping and turning his head when a leash gets tight around his neck. Recommend Rescue only due to handling sensitvites/restrictions. SD |
