Meet Emmylou, a very, very sweet girl who came to us as a stray a couple of weeks ago. We estimate her to be about 6 years old. This little girl has likely lacked good nutrition and care for much, if not all, of her life. She was quite thin at intake and may have rickets which is caused by poor nutrition in utero or as a young puppy, and causes soft, deformed bones; hence, she is a bit bowlegged. But sweet Emmylou doesn't let any of this stop her in the slightest. Nope! She just smiles, wags, and trots around the play yard, happy to be in your company. We would LOVE to see this little angel get a soft landing in a home where she will get healthy food, joint supplements, warm, cushy beds, and oodles and oodles of love! In return, Emmylou will shower you with her unconditional love and adoration. She is waiting to meet you!
