Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
We think Nanook is about two-years-old (?) but we do know he is a hunk of Love, with some husky/malamute mixed in. He is a quiet, snuggly guy who can entertain himself with toys if you just cant play with him all the time. He is a handsome guy with a will to please. If you want some help pulling a wagon, or a sled , or skijoring, count Nanook in. He volunteers to help any time and any place in exchange for a family to call his own. All that cuteness belongs with a family! Please be aware that Nanook is a working breed dog who will need mental/ physical challenges to be the best that he can be.

Please make an appointment or stop by during our walk in hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

Foster notes from a two-night stay:

super friendly, likes the other dogs.

didnt seem to have separation anxiety but didnt like the crate; he slept fine in the room outside the crate (or preferably in human bed!)

Nanook was singing to entertain himself but is quiet at the shelter

likes to chill under the ceiling fan

not potty trained yet. Hopefully marking will be reduced now that he has been neutered.

ate well and calmly

plays with toys by throwing them in the air and running to catch them. He entertained himself for hours like that with various toys from ropes to stuffies.

he loves toys of all types

a face slurper, so dog-savvy kids preferred.

good in car

pulls on walks but with firm control and eight-style harnessing is handlable on walks.
