Meet Kaboose, formerly known as Deuce! If you get to know him well, he’ll let you call him Deuce Kaboose, or any other silly variation you can think of!! This sweet, gentle old man is looking for a housing upgrade- he’d love to find a retirement home where he can do lots of old man things- eat dinner at 3pm, play bingo on Friday nights, and doze off in his recliner. Kaboose has allergies so is looking for a foster or adopter committed to keeping him healthy and itch-free!

Kaboose spent two weeks in a foster home- here’s what we learned:

- He was well- behaved when left alone (with the exception of a single instance of snack- stealing, which… he was hungry, ok?)
- He was housebroken after a brief adjustment period
- He walks well on leash and doesn’t worry about other dogs passing by
- He loves to find a sunny spot to nap in
- He likes tugging on a rope toy and pouncing on a tennis ball
- He did well in a crate
- He’s friendly, relaxed and mellow… but with a dash of an endearing old man stubborn streak

Basically, Deuce Kaboose is the perfect old man companion with all the qualities of a senior pup that we love and that are sure to make you smile. Kaboosey (another alias) has been playful, social, and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He loves cuddles from his humans and gives great smooches. Ask to meet Kaboose today!!
