Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Tigress is a sweet, sleek, and slender girl. When she arrived at the shelter, she was initially very timid but she quickly warmed up and showed that while quiet and unsuspecting, she's also playful and spunky. Tigress loves to be outside and does some of the shepherd circling on leash. She is very interested sniffing and is careful to observe all the details of her surroundings. When given the opportunity to meet a male dog of slightly bigger size, she offered friendly, tail-wagging interest in appropriate sniffing. With head on, she quickly offered some playful paws and full play bow, exhibiting her young age. She'd welcome the opportunity to run, sniff, and to build her confidence through training, perhaps with another dog in the home to show her the ropes!

When not one, but two volunteers, tell you to meet a dog, you have to! Tigress is a volunteer favorite and now I see why! She’s an owner surrender for “escaping” and her owner said she pulled when leash walking, but she was pretty good for Vanessa. There are great harnesses to help with pulling and just more walks to give her the exercise she needs will help. She’s listed as a German Shepherd mix, but she’s definitely got something in there to give her that slender face and build. She had no interest in a plush toy, but she loves treats! She knows sit and she did one down and one “leave it” but they may have been flukes! Before the dog to dog intros were stopped, she did meet another friendly dog and she was friendly with him and even offered a play bow. She’s a good girl who would love a family that loves her forever.
