About Introducing Nazar, an endearing and resilient young pup on the quest for his perfect match in a Fur-ever home. Nazar is in search of either a foster or an adopter through PACC before 3pm on 05/12/24.

Nazar arrived at the shelter on November 30th, 2023, as a timid stray. Nazar was initially nervous with people, yet with patient guidance, he gradually grew accustomed to leash restraint and affectionate gestures here at the shelter. Nazar greatly enjoys playing fetch, walks well on leash, takes treats gently, and enjoys spending time with his people.

When introduced to other dogs in shelter playgroups, Nazar initially exhibited signs of nervousness and apparent lack of socialization. After a brief period in the yard, he displayed assertive behavior, leading to an altercation that required intervention by handlers. In additional playgroup evaluations, Nazar's interactions with fellow canines have declined, prompting the necessity for a muzzle. In his most recent evaluation, Nazar immediately started an altercation with another dog in the yard and did not disengage until separated by handlers. In an additional recent incident, Nazar escaped from his kennel and began a confrontation with a dog being walked that left the other dog injured. Based on Nazar's behavior in the shelter, he would likely do best in an only-pet home.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Nazar, you MUST come to PACC before the 3pm deadline on 05/12/24 to meet with a counselor. They will guide you through reviewing all his notes and facilitate a meeting with Nazar in a yard to ensure compatibility.
