Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
If you’re familiar with King Arthur’s court, you know that Lancelot was the most famous Knight of the Round Table and hero of many battles, quests, and tournaments. Mostly though, we all know that Lancelot stole Queen Guinevere’s heart! Well, our Lancelot is planning to steal hearts too- yours!

This sweet boy was found as a stray and stayed with his finder for several days before heading to the shelter. His finder said he was very friendly, and we agree!! Lancelot is an active, energetic, and happy guy who would love to go on a few epic quests with you!! Here’s what his volunteer friends have said:

“Cutie Lancelot is a happy puppy who's easy to handle. His tail is always wagging and he's smiling all the time. Knows sit, watch me, wait, and takes treats softly. I look forward to walking him again.”

“Lancelot is such a good little dog. He is excited for his walks but is really steerable and responsive. I stopped to get a stick out of my shoe and he politely waited at my side, then resumed his enthusiastic exploration of the great outdoors. He is friendly and social, and relaxed quickly with more time out on the walk.”

“What a sweet boy Lancelot is! He greeted me happily and was easy to leash up. We stopped and sat under a tree. As soon as I sat down he came over and leaned into me and soaked up all the affection he could. He’s a world-class snuggler! He loved getting pets but he still had energy to burn, so we walked some more. I`m sure Lancelot suffers from `black dog syndrome` and gets overlooked but he is truly a little gem.”

Lancelot has shared his kennel politely and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to makes sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Lancelot today!!
