You may also visit the shelter to adopt in-person. We will give priority to in-person adoptions. There is no guarantee that the animal you apply for online will still be available by the time our adoption counselors are able to reach you.

For online applications, you must include an Animal ID#, and you may include up to 3 animals on one request. Once your request is submitted, a member of our team will be in touch with you by phone, often the next day but within 72 hours.

Volunteers describe 8-year old Hendricks as mellow yet energetic. He’s affectionate, loves belly rubs and very inquisitive. His playstyle is described as Push/Pull which involves chasing, driving, and heeling. These dogs are motivated by movement and play can get noisy due to demand barking. This style of play is sometimes but not always mutual and can be antagonistic to others. Human analogy: a game of tag. Best home is a social one with lots of mental & physical stimulation.
