Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Ginger is a sweet senior (don’t tell her though- she’s still full of pep) who spent seven years in a home. She reportedly did well with kids and other dogs, was housebroken and crate trained, and was described by her person as a playful, loyal couch potato. She also loves toys and car rides and is familiar with wheelchairs.

Ginger also spent about a month and a half in a foster home where she again did great with kiddos, was housebroken, and loved getting attention from her foster people. She was described as a couch potato who enjoys her daily walks.

Here’s what Ginger’s volunteer friends at the shelter have said:

“I absolutely love spending time with Ginger. She’s extremely treat-motivated. We went into a play yard where she immediately approached me for pets. She mostly stayed close to me, plopping herself down and leaning in for pets. She is such a sweet and affectionate girl. This sweet girl knows "sit" and "paw" and would love to go home with her forever family for cuddles galore!”

“I met Ginger for the first time today and she was immediately friendly and happy to see me when I entered her kennel. What a sweet girl! She treated me like we were old friends. I offered her a treat and she immediately offered me her paw- she knows how to give paw with both the right and the left! Ginger is affectionate and enjoyed giving kisses and cuddling. Such a nice girl to spend time with!”

“Ginger was timid when she first came to PACC- and who can blame her after spending so many years in a home? I’m sure it was a shock. Fast forward to now, though, and Ginger is so happy, sweet, and cuddly- she loves affection from her volunteer friends and is just a friendly, peppy old lady. I often take her to a play yard in the evenings and she usually stays by my side soaking up all the pets she can get. She walks well on leash and is a very good girl who deserves to get back into a loving home!”

Ginger has shared her kennel while at PACC and was social and a bit playful during her latest playgroup evaluation with other PACC pups, with staff describing he as easygoing overall. A meet and greet with any resident pets is always a good idea! Please ask about Ginger today!
