Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Augie is a really great boy. He is a happy dog that would love to warm a lap or a soft bed. He is very gentle taking treats and knows a ton of commands (sit, down, stay, catch..). Augie just LOVES to fetch and run after balls- bringing it back each time within our reach. After some play time, he just loves to lay in the sun. He would be a great addition to a family - and as a plus, we know he is crate trained. He will do best with some daily exercise such as fetch or walks. He doesn't like to share food with other animals (no issues with humans), so he would best as an only dog - to give all his love exclusively to his new family.

Our PAWs volunteers found Augie to be a sweet, big boy. He walked well on a harness when they took him to the park - walking calmly by different groups of dogs in the park. He checks in with his walker often. Augie also rode great in the car. Overall these volunteers thought he is a great dog, and a great kisser.

*notes about TJO and our dogs:
- To adopt a dog, all family members (human and canine) must meet.
- Our profiles are written before the dogs see our vet. Medical information can be found by asking one of our adoption counselors.
- Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
