Large pendulous mass in region of L mammary gland of unknown duration. Pathologist's Report INTERPRETATION: Mast cell tumor COMMENTS: Canine mast cell tumors (MCT) exhibit a wide range of biologic behavior. There is no overt cytologic atypia observed in this neoplastic mast cell population, which suggests a low-grade tumor, as based on a 2016 publication establishing cytologic criteria and a tumor grading scheme for canine cutaneous MCT. This cytologic grading scheme does not replace the histologic grading schemes, which best assess tissue architecture, mitotic count, and remain part of the gold standard for predicting canine cutaneous MCT behavior. 05/14/2024 BARH, BCS 5/9, snaps and growls when touched Pendulous lumpy mass ventral abdomen, not painful when touched or palpated, no obviously palpable stalk or connection to underlying muscle wall CBC- pending Chem/SDMA/T4 - pending Cytology (FNA) - sending to Idexx 5/10/24 Sedated exam, xrays and resplint right leg.
