This autumn beauty is Bella, and it's the perfect name for her! What a sweet face! She is 4 years old and according to her foster mom, she is an absolute cuddle bug who LOVES people. She is housetrained, walks well on leash, and is a fantastic girl. Her only negative is that she can be reactive towards other dogs, so she will be happiest and most successful as the only dog in the home. Did you know Buttercups represent humility, joy, new beginnings, happiness, and friendship? That's a lot for such a sweet, tiny flower. But we think it's a fitting name for this stunning, perky-eared girl. Buttercup came to us as a stray last week and we estimate her to be at least a year or so old. Cheeto is an older guy at around 8 years of age or so, and yes, he has some lumps and bumps and warts, but they don't bother him one bit. It's just a part of becoming a wise and mature pup. Cheeto came to BAS as a stray and has a cheerful and friendly personality. As we always tell you, seniors make GREAT companions and Cheeto promises to as well, so come meet him today!

Dog Day Out, 5/17/24:
We took Davis out for a walk and a relaxing break away from the shelter exploring new surroundings. Davis is the most perfect dog ever. He is so sweet and easy going and loves meeting new people.

New foster notes, 2/21/24:
Dixie is almost finished with her heartworm treatment and is doing well but isn't allowed to get excited or play too much for another couple of weeks. She's sweet but doesn't want anyone but me to take her to potty. She loves my great grandkids who are 2 years to 10 years old. She barks when anyone comes to the house but will stop after about 2 minutes when she starts feeling comfortable. She looks out the storm door at other dogs walking by and will bark.
