Meet Emmylou, a very, very sweet girl who came to us as a stray a couple of weeks ago. We estimate her to be about 6 years old. This little girl has likely lacked good nutrition and care for much, if not all, of her life. She was quite thin at intake and may have rickets which is caused by poor nutrition in utero or as a young puppy, and causes soft, deformed bones; hence, she is a bit bowlegged. But sweet Emmylou doesn't let any of this stop her in the slightest. Nope! She just smiles, wags, and trots around the play yard, happy to be in your ... Click my picture to read more about me.

Flossy Joe is a high-energy, athletic lady who loves to show off her speed and agility. As my husband says, she's the wide receiver you want on your canine fantasy football team! I love her pretty camouflage coat. She is sweet and friendly and eventually calms down. Before that happens, keep in mind that everything is a potential toy and she can sniff out a hidden treat like a bloodhound! We worked on "sit" this time but she was more interested in entertaining us with her lightning-fast moves!

Hulk and I have spent quite a bit of time together now and I can't believe he's still in the shelter. He is such a playful, thoughtful, trustworthy boy every time I take him out, whether it's on the leash or in the play yard. Each time we play together, he becomes more trusting. This time he let me sit next to him and hug him. I got a wonderful sloppy kiss in return! He seems to be a very clean dog who always keeps his white paws spotless.
