This pretty snowy girl is named Lady and she is 2 years old. She was surrendered for no fault of her own and is hoping for better luck in a new home. She came in with some skin issues due to fleas but is on some good medicine that should have her looking even more beautiful in no time! Lady is a very sweet girl who just wants to be loved and included in her person or family's life. She would love to meet you here at BAS and she promises to be your loyal and faithful best friend!

He seems to do very well in a crate. Knows how to sit, lay down and wait. He likes to bite the leash but just out of boredom I think, he shouldn't take too long to drop that habit, he seems very intelligent. Had no reaction to hearing my dogs barking, although I did not introduce him to dogs or cats so I can't comment on that. He was so sweet, loves toys (especially soft ones) and seems to be a snuggler. Max is a super sweet 6 year old boy who is looking for a new family to share his sugar with. He was adopted from us a few years back, but a family member's health issues has brought him back to us. Max is housetrained and lived with young children. He's friendly with other animals, crate trained, loving and affectionate, playful, easy-going, and listens to basic commands. Sounds pretty awesome to us! Plus, who doesn't enjoy a smiling face to look at every day? Max would love to meet you today, so come visit us at BAS!

This snow white girl with the cutest polka dot ears is Mona Lisa. She is an older girl at around 8 or 9 years old, and was surrendered for landlord issues, so no fault of her own. This sweet girl is spunky, friendly, enjoys attention, and loves running and jumping freely in our fenced yard and playing with toys. She is housetrained, good with kids, and does okay with male dogs. During intake, it was noted that Mona Lisa is a bit lumpy. Fun, playful, clownish, and smart--the words that seem to describe Moose. This super cute fella was picked up by the Burlington Police Department and brought to BAS. He's definitely not a criminal and did nothing wrong, he was just a lost pup who didn't find his way back home. Moose is at least 5 years old and knows some basic commands. He has a happy and friendly personality, and he's ready to bring much laughter, happiness, and love to a lucky person or family's life. Zoom, zoom! Nova LOVES to show off her speedy zoomies and play keep away! This little girl is not quite 2 years old, so she is young and spirited. Nova came to us from another shelter to see if she might have better luck finding her forever home here. We sure hope so because this sweetie has spent too much of her young life in a shelter, and it's not the most ideal place for her--way too much stimulation. Short-term foster notes, 4/30/24:
Porthos is a sweet, gentle, quirky old man. He is potty trained and will whine at the door when he needs to go out. He rides so well in the car and walks well on a leash. He does react to small animals like squirrels and cats who catch his gaze, so he can be brisk but a gentle tug in the right direction is usually enough to direct him back. Porthos loves soft treats and a welcoming couch. One of his favorites in our home was our water fountain, he loved it!! This unique man requires special care from a patie...
