Flossy Joe is a high-energy, athletic lady who loves to show off her speed and agility. As my husband says, she's the wide receiver you want on your canine fantasy football team! I love her pretty camouflage coat. She is sweet and friendly and eventually calms down. Before that happens, keep in mind that everything is a potential toy and she can sniff out a hidden treat like a bloodhound! We worked on "sit" this time but she was more interested in entertaining us with her lightning-fast moves!

Gladdis is well mannered. She is a beautiful dog with the most expressive eyes. She loves long walks, easy jogs, neighbors and their treats, bathing in the sun, rolling in freshly mowed grass... While on a leash, Gladdis has met children that were reminded that dogs need slow introductions and have their own space around them. She met passive and playful dogs while on a leash. Ellie is a sweet senior girl. She’s is extremely friendly with people, dogs, and other animals, and is very gentle with everyone. She has some broken teeth which makes it hard for her to chew at times, so we water down her food for her. She’s completely potty trained and doesn’t bark or chew or destroy anything. She enjoys meeting new people,is cuddly and affectionate, and walks well on leash.

Dog Day Out, 1/30/24:
We took Luna for a walk through the woods near the shelter and then for a car ride to Elon University. She was somewhat timid there and seemed to want to go for another car ride.

- Walked well on leash (No or low amount of pulling)
- Did well riding in the car

Tiny is quick to make friends with any humans; she loves pets and cuddles. She thrives when she can spend time outdoors and can be in a yard unsupervised. She enjoys 1-3 mile walks daily. She is very alert around other dogs and can be guarded. If going to a home with another dog, a proper introduction is necessary. She is housetrained. She gets a little sad when left home alone but has no destructive behaviors. She knows "sit" and "heel".

This snow white girl with the cutest polka dot ears is Mona Lisa. She is an older girl at around 8 or 9 years old, and was surrendered for landlord issues, so no fault of her own. This sweet girl is spunky, friendly, enjoys attention, and loves running and jumping freely in our fenced yard and playing with toys. She is housetrained, good with kids, and does okay with male dogs. During intake, it was noted that Mona Lisa is a bit lumpy.
