Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal:
Haku and Meriwether are a bonded pair.

Rabbits are social animals but are picky about who they choose as a partner.  But once they find that best friend bonded pairs tend to be happier, calmer, less destructive and less prone to being stressed, which help them live longer. You will often see them grooming each other, playing together and curling up to sleep with each other. If you have a busy lifestyle a bonded pair is perfect because they keep each entertained!

A pair of rabbits does need a little more space but they are more rewarding to have at home than a solitary animal, and the care and time and attention you need to give them is similar to one rabbit. In fact if you do have a solitary rabbit, you will need to give more time and attention to keep them company.
